WHAT DO YOU SEE IN THE MIRROR? PT 1

It's been a fun evening! Seni and her friends are having a girls' time out at this exquisite lounge. She could barely come up with her own contribution to the budget but she couldn't be the one left out. She's glad she finally made it.

Oops! She's pressed! Just a bottle of Smirnoff ice and her bladder is already protesting.

"Hi... sorry... excuse me, please where's the restroom?" Typical Nigerian, she has used three magic words in one breath! And uses the fourth when the waiter points her in the general direction of the convenience.

"Thank you!" She flashes her smile which she's been told several times is captivating as she 'catwalks' (in her head, she's always imagined she does) to her point of relief.

Tayo is behind her and her gasp of awe startles Seni who looks up. She'd been pressing her phone and didn't take in the sight that greets them soon enough: It's the mirrors!

Now she recalls the posts she'd seen online. It was this place!

It's no news that girls usually go to restrooms to take pictures in these luxury lounges. And this particular lounge has really capitalized on that. Mirrors in toilets... It's kinda ironical ain't it?

She contorts her lips into a pout as she raises her camera both actions done almost subconsciously: a pseudo salute to the gram (that's where the shot will go of course!)

Her gaze flicks up briefly meeting that of her reflection...

"Look at that... You're not fine joor... You don't look good enough... Look at that pimple... This dress you're wearing sef..."

The thoughts seem to tiptoe in, yet viciously making statements of insufficiency in her head. And there she pauses, voiding the salute as she lowers the phone and frees her orbicularis oris...
